We have four excellent music instructors at our store: three piano teachers and one guitar teacher. Lessons are held in our own second floor music studios. We have waiting rooms available and plenty of parking in our rear parking lot. Our piano teachers give recitals each year in order for the student to gain experience, exposure, and opportunities.
Benefits of Music and Playing the Piano
Several studies have shown that students in the arts are found to be more cooperative and self-confident. Playing music also motivates students to stay in school. Young children who received a year of musical training showed changes in their brain and better memory than their peers who did not receive musical training. Students who participate in music lessons get better scores, and improve in critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
For adults and seniors, playing a musical instrument exercises the brain and helps to fight memory loss. It can also reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and help stave off depression and loneliness.
