Sarah Leamy

PIANO, GUITAR, FLUTE TEACHER

Sarah Leamy is new to the area but not new to teaching music lessons. She holds a BS in Music Education from Slippery Rock University, Pa and has some Graduate Studies. Having taught over 30 years, her primary students have been piano students. However, being versatile all her life she also teaches guitar, flute and voice. When the need or interest arises, she also teaches Brass, Woodwind, and String Instruments. Sarah also has 22 years experience as Music Director, Accompanist, Organist/Pianist for churches. Sarah enjoys a multitude of ages and has taught from 5-70 plus years of age. Besides her Love of Music, she is passionate with gardening, chickens, hiking, cycling, traveling, and grandchildren.

Peggy Flickinger

PIANO & VOICE TEACHER

Peggy Flickinger has been teaching Piano and Voice for over 25 years. She has been teaching Piano at Kramer’s Piano Shop for over a year. Peggy enjoys teaching children and adults. She graduated from Sheperd University and is a Member of the Music Teachers National Association and Frederick County Music Teachers Association.

Opal Snyder

PIANO TEACHER

Opal Snyder has been teaching at Kramer’s Piano Shop for over twenty-five years. She enjoys teaching children and has started students as young as 5 years old in the “Little Mozarts“ music program. Some of her students have gone on to major in music in college. Opal graduated from Hood College with a B.A. degree in music, and had served as President of the Maryland Piano Teachers Guild for three years. She lives in the Union Bridge area, works full-time for the Frederick Memorial Hospital, is a church organist, and is currently president of the Ruritan Club. She enjoys traveling, camping, fishing and, of course, music. Opal was honored as one of two thousand “Outstanding Musicians of the Twentieth Century” in 2001, from Cambridge, England.

Abbie Williamson

PIANO TEACHER

Abbie has been studying piano for about 13 years. This will be her first experience teaching piano to students, but she cannot wait to try it. While this may be Abbie’s first time teaching piano, working with students is nothing new. She has helped her mom with watching family and friend’s children since she was ten and has been volunteering with her church’s youth ministries since the same time. Abbie has also volunteered at a local private school for the past six years and subbed as an aide on occasion. She is currently working towards her Associate’s degree inElementary Special Education and will be graduating in the spring from Carroll Community College. Abbie plans to focus on encouraging her students not to give up and to push themselves because she is sure they are capable of great things.

Kennady Thorpe

GUITAR TEACHER

Kennady has studied guitar for over 9 years and ukulele for over 7 years. She recently started teaching guitar and ukulele but already enjoys it! She excels in playing and teaching fingerpicking style, folk, and pop music. She will earn her Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in music from Mount St. Mary’s University in May of 2023. She teaches her students music theory and encourages them to play their favorite music. She has primarily worked with middle school students and loves seeing their faces light up when they achieve their goals in learning. Kennady has played with the worship band at her church for the past six years and played in a college rock band for two years.

 

Lauren Hill

VIOLIN TEACHER

Born into a musical family, Lauren began her musical studies at an early age.  After exploring piano, recorder, and flute, she fell in love with the violin.  She began learning to play the violin in 2014 and went on to earn her Associate degree in music at Frederick Community College in 2020.  She plays an active part in the music ministry of Victory Baptist Church in Frederick and has performed with the Frederick Symphony Orchestra for a few years.  Lauren has taught beginning violin since 2022 and desires to help students of all ages discover how much fun it is to play the violin.

Devin Inman

PIANO, GUITAR, & UKELELE TEACHER

Devin has been teaching piano, guitar, and ukulele since 2019. He studied at Hood College where he got his bachelor’s degree in Music Performance with a focus on music composition. He has played in countless ensembles on a wide variety of instruments including piano, synthesizer, acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, mandolin, horn, and trumpet. When not teaching, he writes music and leads contemporary worship bands, which he has done since 2015. Music is his passion. Devin strives to teach in a way that makes learning to play music and music theory easy and fun

Don McCuller

GUITAR TEACHER

Don McCuller, Jr.  has been teaching guitar at Kramer’s Piano shop since 2008.  He is an accomplished guitarist and has composed music, and has played  with various local Christian bands over the years.
